Luxury Designer Cushions, Curated by an Interior Designer

Fabrics I choose for my own interior design clients, now available for your home. Limited runs, considered colourways, and pieces you won't find on the high street.

Why CushionBank

  • Curated by an interior designer: Every fabric is chosen with a professional eye, the same eye I bring to client projects across Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall.

  • Sourced through real design work: Many of these fabrics come directly from my own interior design projects, the same ranges used in high end homes and schemes.

  • Limited and one off: The CB Collection features limited edition designs using fabrics rarely seen outside professional interior work.

  • Bespoke, made to fit: Can't find quite the right fit? We make bespoke cushions to your size, fabric and trim.

I'm Michelle Sucksmith, and I've spent over 35 years designing interiors for homes across the South West. CushionBank grew out of that work. Every fabric here is chosen the way I choose for my own clients, for its colour, its texture and the way it transforms a room. Many pieces are limited runs or one offs, drawn from designer ranges you'd normally only see through an interior design project.

MAISON CASAMANCE

CUSHION COLLECTION

Designer cushions in vibrant patterned fabrics styled on a contemporary sofa. Luxury cushions curated by Cushionbank.

Maison Casamance has long been one of my favourite textile houses, known for its beautiful fabrics, elegant colour combinations and exceptional craftsmanship.

I've selected a collection of cushions that reflect the timeless, layered interiors I love to create for my clients. From soft neutrals and subtle textures to richer statement designs, these cushions are perfect for adding colour, comfort and character to your home.

Each piece has been chosen with an interior designer's eye, making it easy to create a considered and cohesive look.

FABRICS I LOVE TO WORK WITH

I work with beautiful fabrics every day as an interior designer. CushionBank brings together some of my favourites — chosen for their colour, pattern, texture and ability to transform a room.

Each cushion is selected with the same care I bring to my interior design projects.

Kelly Wearstler - District
from £165.00

District in tawny by Kelly Wearstler. Oversized blocks of colour laid down as though hand painted, in apricot and terracotta, buttermilk yellow and pale aqua on a cream ground, with a fine graphite line drawn round some of the shapes. It nods towards cubism without being literal about it.

It is printed onto a substantial cotton with a visible weave and the colour sits into the fabric rather than on top of it, so the blocks look slightly chalky, as though they had been mixed by hand.

Backed in another Wearstler fabric, her black and ivory wobbly stripe, and piped in buttermilk canvas. Two very different fabrics on one cushion, which is the point of it: the front is all colour, the back is all line.

Available as a 30 x 40cm and a 30 x 50cm rectangle. Corners are tapered, fabric edges are overlocked and there is an invisible zip along the bottom edge. Handmade in my Devon workroom, available with or without a duck feather pad.

Only a small number of covers were cut from this length of fabric, so once they have gone they will not be repeated.

Wearstler is one of the few designers whose fabrics are worth the outlay on a small cushion, because the scale of the print means you see the whole idea even at 30 x 40. The pair of them on a plain sofa will carry a room on their own, and the apricot sits happily with terracotta and unglazed clay.

Care Instructions

The irregularities and shade variations are characteristic of the fabric. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed. Dry cleaning recommended.

Barbara Osorio - Wonderland
from £67.00

Wonderland is a Barbara Osorio print, colourful and deliberately busy, drawn with the sort of confidence that only works when the colour has been properly thought through. Barbara Osorio Fabrics is a British textile house for people who prefer natural fibres, unusual patterns and bold colour, and this is a good example of all three.

Available as a 50 x 50cm square and a 30 x 40cm rectangle, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.

Cut from a limited length of fabric, so very few are made.

A print this lively wants a plain sofa and no competition. One is usually enough in a room. If you want two, put them at opposite ends rather than side by side.

Cushion pad: 100% duck feather.

Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.

Florence Broadhurst - Japanese Floral Green
from £89.00

Japanese Floral comes from the Florence Broadhurst archive, hand printed in Australia by Signature Prints using her original screens. Hand printing gives a depth of colour and a slight unevenness across the repeat that digital printing cannot reproduce.

50 x 50cm square, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.

Hand printed fabric comes in short lengths, so this is a small run.

The green is clean enough to sit happily with mid century furniture and strong enough to lift a neutral scheme. A square this size belongs at the back of a sofa or in the corner of an armchair, with something plain in front of it.

Cushion pad: 100% duck feather.

Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
